Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses filiform, single use needles to elicit a healing response from the body. Points are chosen based on the individual and their root cause of imbalance. See foxacu.com for more info about Acupuncture.

Dr. Christina specializes in pain management, as well as women’s reproductive and maternal health.

Dr. Christina Harvey has always had a passion for helping others achieve balance and holistic well-being. Her journey into medicine began in her teenage years, as acupuncture was able to relieve both her hormonal migraines and seasonal allergies. She also found the treatment room to be a safe space for her to open up emotionally, igniting her desire to share this powerful healing art with others. Dr. Christina studied psychology and health at Salisbury University, which laid the groundwork for her understanding of the mind-body connection. She then furthered her education by earning both her Masters and Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, California. While studying in San Diego, Dr. Christina worked as both a fitness instructor and massage therapist and mentored under some of the top Acupuncturists in the field. She went on to practice acupuncture in an integrative office with Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, and Massage Therapists. Eventually, Dr. Christina ran her own private practice for a few years before moving back home to Maryland. Dr. Christina’s passion lies in helping others restore their bodies for pain-free movement, particularly in treating musculoskeletal disorders. She also finds great joy in treating women’s reproductive health and supporting women throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by studying and shadowing doula work, with plans to incorporate this knowledge into her acupuncture practice. Dr. Christina believes that each person is unique and has the potential to thrive with the right support and mindset. Outside of work, Dr. Christina enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it’s walking, hiking, relaxing by the water, or exploring a new city. She also loves cooking, baking, and curling up on the couch with a good book. Believing that movement is medicine, she prioritizes staying active each day through strength training, running, cycling, or yoga. Family is incredibly important to her; as a mother, wife, daughter, and sister, she cherishes those connections and looks forward to welcoming you in the treatment room with open arms.

Hi! I graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2018 with my Masters of Acupuncture. I am a born and raised eastern shore girl who believes the body is wise and Acupuncture is an incredible healing modality for everyone, and especially for anyone feeling like perhaps they need extra support or would like to take the less-invasive, whole-picture route to their health. I primarily work with pain, headaches, anxiety and depression, hormonal & women’s health and really value working with fertility patients and pregnant people through every stage of their journey, including postpartum! Everyone deserves to feel listened to and acknowledged by their provider, and that is an aspect of my work I take very seriously. I look forward to seeing you in the treatment room!
